Industrial RFID reader with USB interface USB125

Manufacturing industries very often have press- or stamping tools, consisting of many different parts that need to be assembled in the correct order to avoid damages to the tool. For critical parts, identification on item level might be necessary. Our reader USB125 comes with a separate holder, so it can easily be attached to the work place where the assembly takes place. The critical tool parts are equipped with small glass tags (Ø2,12 x 12,2 mm), allowing an error-free identification.

A practical feature when working with stamping tools is the ability to track the tool usage. Re-sharpening of the tool can thus be kept to a minimum, prolonging the tool life and saving costs.

Our new Mini RFID Reader MR125

Identification tasks in manufacturing industries, logistics and many other areas can mostly be solved using an antenna out of our standard line of antennas. They range from 100x100x15 mm up to 400x400x15 mm. Two sizes of cylindrical antennas are also part of the standard line; M30 L70mm and M18x1 L25mm.

However, there are instances, when it would be desirable to have the reader integrated into an object e.g.a special drilling machine. This allows identification of operations on very large objects, as is the case in the Aircraft Industry. Thousands of holes have to be machined and it is important to document that the right tool has been used. The system can also register at what time the hole was drilled and how many holes have been made so that unnecessary re-sharpening can be avoided.

Although small in size (76x33x10mm) the reader can handle two antennas and many types of RFID-tags.

RFID Reader for conveyor belts CR125

RFID is very often used in logistics centres for commissioning purposes. Our versatile readers CR125, in combination with our only 10mm flat antennas, are easily integrated into roll-or conveyor systems. Thanks to the Ethernet interface and the Web browser console, it is very quick and easy to set up the reader. Simple commands facilitate the integration with the main computer system.

Problem solving using RFID-Antennas

Identification tasks in manufacturing industries, logistics and many other areas can mostly be solved using an antenna out of our standard line of antennas. They range from 100x100x15 mm up to 400x400x15 mm. Two sizes of cylindrical antennas are also part of the standard line; M30 L70mm and M18x1 L25mm. You can read more about our standard antenna on the IDEAL125 page.

However, there are instances, when there is very little space to mount a standard antenna. On other occasions, it might be desirable to integrate an antenna into some tool or other. Through our vast experience from working more than 30 years with RFID, we have the knowledge and tools to let us design and manufacture virtually any size and shape of special antennas.

As an example, we can mention a mini-antenna Ø5x18mm that was integrated into a special electric drill for the Aircraft Industry. For robot arm applications, we have manufactured antennas Ø10x50mm. Flat, rectangular antennas to be mounted directly on metal is yet another speciality. They come in sizes 20x32x10mm and 30x40x10mm.

All other sizes and shapes are just a request from you away.

Introducing the EVS Imager series

We are happy to introduce our heavy-duty EVS Imager series EVS138 and EVS144 for industrial use.

This series is an imager-based reader with auto-focus and built-in illumination. It reads codes between 0,5 m and up to more than 10 metres depending on code density, It is very useful for industrial or mobile installations directly on the truck or AGV.

It is also equipped with smart reading which means it can find the code itself, it can also be configured to full process automation to close transactions in your software (like SAP) without any or as little manual intervention as possible. It is also possible to connect other equipment like RFID reader to the imager to get not only the code on the item but also position via RFID.

The EVS series read all common bar codes and 2D codes and are based on the latest matrix technology. It is designed to work in tough industrial environments.

The technology used in the EVS imager provides extremely good reading capabilities. It has built-in error correction and multi-directional reading.

RFID-based Tambour-ID

Tambour identification has in the past mostly been done using Microwave-based systems. That hardware is now getting to a point where it needs to be replaced in order to warrant a safe and trouble-free operation in the mills. Since a few years Ident System AB offers an economic and well-proven replacement system based on LF-RFID instead of the microwave systems.

The system consists of a reader connected to the present Mill Executive System and will keep track of Tambour-ID, orientation and acceptable destinations. The Tambour-ID system easily integrates with various MES e.g. Honeywell Optivision, ABB Automation, Paperline and similar systems.
Ident System AB has in the past years successfully installed well over 30 systems and more are on the way. The customers have greatly appreciated the quick and easy installation and the good performance of the systems.

Ident System AB has put together a short system description of our Tambour-ID solution that can be downloaded from our website here: Link to Tambour-ID pdf.

Good news for customers searching for RFID-equipment that can substitute old Baumer Ident readers and antennas!

ideal125 rfid reader and ideal125a rfid antenna

We are happy to introduce the IDeal 125 LF – Controller, which is fully compatible with the obsolete OIS-L Series-77 reader.

The IDeal 125 LF – Controller is a Read/Write device with two antenna ports. It has been developed to fill the gap that occurred when production of the Baumer Ident OIS-L product line was stopped.

Being a more modern engine design, the IDeal 125 even has some additional, very useful features. We have kept the external connections and the program commands 100% identical to the old system, so all existing cables and programs can be used 1:1 without causing additional work or cost. New antennas are required, but they have identical housings as the old OIS-L series.

Depending on antenna type and size, this powerful device can achieve a reading distance of up to 30 cm. The IDeal 125 two channel controller allows Near Field and Short-Range applications.

The antennas can be detected separately and work independently. Therefore it is the perfect device, where several reading points are required.
