EVS 244

The new EVS 244 imager has been especially

developed for warehouse applications and mounting on

forklift trucks. The compact read head simplifies

mounting in confined spaces and the unit is suitable for

both pallet handling as well as other type of goods.

The unit will read all common barcodes and 2D codes.

It is based on latest matrix technology and can withstand

the tough industrial environments of forklift truck

applications, including the shock and vibration stresses.

The EVS 244 imager read-head has auto focus

capabilities allowing it to read codes between 0,1 m up

to 20 m.

The technology used in the imager provides very

good reading capabilities. It also has a built-in error

correction. The unit can also be programmed to scan in

patterns and it has a full programmable logic control of

 what to be sent to host. 

The system is a joystick controlled reader mounted on a pan-tilt unit.The reader consists of a read head with an integrated

lamp (no external lamp), a separate decoding unit

and a robust joystick controlled  programable pan-tilt unit.

The unit has a built-in laser pointer for aiming. The

pan/tilt unit is digital and can be programmed to scan in

patterns or search for required code. EVS244 can be                                        

equipped with additional laser pointer.

The EVS 244 imager read head can,

depending on application, be used on existing older

EVS144/EVS138 bar code readers after software update.
