EVS 238

The new EVS238 imager has been especially

developed for warehouse applications and mounting on

forklift trucks. The compact read head simplifies

mounting in confined spaces and the unit is suitable for

both pallet handling as well as other type of goods.

The unit will read all common barcodes and 2D codes.

It is based on the latest matrix technology and can withstand

the tough industrial environments of forklift truck

applications, including the shock and vibration stresses.

The EVS238 imager read-head has auto focus

capabilities allowing it to read codes between 0,1 m up

to 20 m.

The technology used in the imager provides extremely

good reading capabilities. It has built-in error

correction. The unit has a full programmable logic control of

what to be sent to host. The EVS238

works in froozen areas below - 30 degrees celsius.

The reader consists of a read head with an integrated

lighting (no external lamp) and a separate decoding unit.

The unit also has a built-in laser pointer for aiming.

The EVS238 imager read-head can,depending on application, be used on existing older EVS144/EVS138 bar code readers after software update.
