The camera unit is compatible with our previous range of EVS144 Line and EVS144 Matrix for upgrade.

EVS144 code readers for harsh environments

Ident System AB EVS144 code readers are a code reader series that is easy to install because of its small dimensions. While both EVS144 models are made for rough outdoor use, the EVS144 Imager excels in strong daylight situations, even where direct sunlight is present. The EVS144 Line Camera on the other hand is made for high reliability in low light environments and can if needed be equipped with an external spotlight. The EVS144 line is also available in a version adapted for freezing environments, down to minus 30 degrees Celsius such as frozen warehouses and harsh outdoor temperatures. If needed, we can also adapt existing units for cold temperature use. Both models have a joystick-controlled movable read-head which makes them suited for both fixed mounting such as entrance areas or conveyor belts, or forklift mounted. The long reading distances, up to 6 m for the line camera and 13 m for the matrix depending on code size, as well as large depth of sharpness and ability to read a wide range of codes as well as inverted codes, codes punched in metal sheets or low quality printed codes makes this a truly versatile series for use in harsh environments where reading conditions and/or a large flexibility to read a range of code types and object sizes are present.

How are our custom RFID antennas manufactured?

We have been talking quite a bit about our tailor-made LF-RFID antennas here in the newsletter, and we thought that some of you might be interested to see how they now are manufactured. Click on the link, or on the picture below for a short video. Link to Video.

Do you need a custom-made antenna that covers a wide area, or maybe a very small one to fit in a specific spot? Maybe shaped as a rectangle, square, or a circle or to be fitted and screwed in place like a bolt

We can help you with most requests and adapt our antennas to your needs. We can do this for both our own IDeal125 and IDeal134 (TambourID) systems and the Baumer OIS-L readers. Contact us for more details.

The PGE-5 gripper is recommended by DOBOT for use with the latest robotic arm MG400 and is the ideal companion for MG400 in many use cases:

  • Pick and place
  • Machine tending
  • Assembly
  • Experimental teaching

Some points about DH Robotics PGE-5

  • Precise force control
  • Space-saving mounting
  • Everything integrated inside
  • Mounting holes on 4 sides
  • Gripping feedback & drop detection
  • Quick response

TambourID control and service with Handheld USB-reader

IdentSystem USB125 is a small, portable USB LF reader. It is the ideal tool to read and write our TambourID tags while still mounted on the tambour, no need to remove the tag in order to change its ID.

USB125 supports the following chips: EM4x02, EM4x50, EM4x05, HITAG1, HITAG2, HITAGS, Q5, TI-RFID which can be found in a variety of tag types, glass tags, Cable tie tags like HellermannTyton, regular disc tags etc.

Custom 125 and 134,5 kHz RFID antenna solutions

For LF 125 and 134,5 kHz systems, IdentSystem offer our customers the option of having antennas tailor-made for their applications.

Do you need a large antenna that cover a wide area, or maybe a very small to fit in a specific spot? Maybe shaped as a rectangle, square or a circle or to be fitted ans screwed in place like a bolt.

We can help you with most requests and adapt our antyennas to your needs. We can do this for both our own IDeal125 and IDeal134 (TambourID) systems and the Baumer OIS-L readers. Contact us for more details.

IDeal 134 RFID reader for Tambour-ID applications

IdentSystem’s Ideal134 RFID reader is not installed in nice papermills Tambour-ID system all over the world.

Our solution makes system design very flexible since we can design both the tags for different tambour sizes and types of metal surroundings as well as tailor-make antenna sizes and shapes depending on positionening needs. Antannas can also be fine-tuned for optimal readability, even in difficult environments.

The system can both replace the Baumer Ident OIS-P and is ideal for new installations. Ideal134 give the user full traceability back to master systems such as MES and similar and is invaluable for operators to avoid errors in handling and to trace production and quality data.

The IDeal134 reader connects to the present Mill Executive System and will keep track of Tambour-ID, orientation and acceptable destinations. The Tambour-ID system easily integrates with various MES e.g. Honeywell Optivision, ABB Automation, Paperline and similar systems.

We have put together a short system description of our Tambour-ID solution that can be downloaded from our website here: Link to Tambour-ID pdf.

More about EVS144 barcode readers

We have been talking a lot about our EVS144 imager and line cameras lately, and since there is a lot to say about them we will continue doing so even this week. Besides excellent reading capabilities (autofocus and long distances), the readers are configurable to automatically capture codes as they come into reading range, this setup makes reading almost automatic as all reading is done while the goods are moved. it is also ergonomic since no extra motions are needed for the forklift driver in order to make the capture, and also reduces the risk of damaged goods. Newsflash – LF RFID Ethernet reader coming!

As part of our continuous efforts to supply our customers with products suited for their needs, Ident System will soon be launching a new RFID reader in our LF series. The reader’s main uses are for example conveyor belts, CNC machinery, and pallet conveyors.

This reader will work on both the 125 and 134.2kHz range and is designed to communicate data and instructions via Ethernet.

Configuration of the unit is done through a user-friendly web interface from your browser, but configuration through a serial terminal is also available. To further simplify usage, the reader uses our standard (and custom RFID LF antennas). Note that there are some limitations to the size of antennas that can be used.

We will update with more information as the reader gets closer to release date.
